Daytime Postpartum Doula Support

The daytime postpartum doula relieves parents of household duties, focusing on bonding with and caring for their little love.  The postpartum doula can provide complete baby care while parents rest and recover from birth and changes in sleep patterns.  While the family bonds with the baby, the postpartum doula can complete tasks around the house while simultaneously educating parents on care while in the moment.  Postpartum doula support is most effective right when the family arrives home from the hospital to build good habits and routines and begin the recovery process.

Travel pricing is available 30 miles outside of 02066.  Please inquire.

• Monitoring the physical, emotional, and mental wellness of the birthing person
• Basic breastfeeding/chestfeeding/body feeding assistance

• Appropriate dress, depending on weather
• Environmental design

• Soothing techniques
• Developmentally appropriate activities 
• Inclusion of family members such as partners, siblings, caregivers, and pets
• Light housekeeping
• Meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation
• Pet care
