Private Sessions
infant craniosacral therapy
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is gentle hands on method of bodywork that targets the fascia and release tension from the body. The technique works by using an extremely light amount of pressure to alleviate the tightness causes by a variety of factors.
CST works well for everyone especially infants, babies, and children due to how light the touch is. Newborns are especially tense due to the physiology of gestation and the process of birth. Infant Craniosacral sessions benefit every baby but especially those with feeding difficulties, asymmetrical/misshaped heads, muscle tension, general malaise.
Initial comprehensive craniosacral visit--$150
2-3 hours that includes a comprehensive history of your perinatal journey, hands on tension release, instructions for home care, communication with related providers (if necessary) comprehensive notes to refer back to with demonstrations of home exercises

feeding support
Nursing | Pumping | Bottle Feeding | Combo Feeding | Solids
At The Apiary you can expect a whole body, holistic, and evidenced-based approach to support parents on their feeding journeys. You won’t have to worry about judgement—the way you decide to feed your baby is your choice. Feeding babies from your body is a completely natural process AND it is a learned skill that many need support with at some point in their journeys. Bottle feeding babies and families also deserve support since using a bottle requires its own skill set.
When assessing the feeding dyad it is important to consider the entire body not just their mouths. During a feeding appointment Alyssa will use a hands on approach and assess the body as well as perform bodywork (Craniosacral Therapy).

mental health talks (and maybe walks)
The most common complications of pregnancy and birth are various mood disorders. Perinatal mood disorders can affect individuals at any time during pregnancy and postpartum so finding a person trained to help is key for treatment. Alyssa completed her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International (PSI) in Spring of 2024.
There is no right way to feel about pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and parenting so having a nonjudgemental provider is key. When working with Alyssa you have not only an unbiased resource but the perspective of a doula, feeding counselor, educator, and parent. If you hesitate reaching out for payment purposes, please don’t—we are happy to work out a method of payment or to connect you with wonderful resources who take insurance.
When you visit The Apiary you're welcome to come sit and chat on the couches or we can chat while we talk a walk around the harbor!
