Certified Lactation Counseling

Certified Lactation Counseling

Alyssa takes an evidenced-based, non-judgmental approach to support parents on their feeding journeys.  She used various feeding techniques to nourish her own children, including nursing, pumping, and bottle feeding. Feeding a newborn and even older baby is a mental skill in addition to a physical one, so she is happy to counsel through any issues and challenges and also share in the joy and milestones.  Her goal is for parents to enjoy their feeding journey as much as possible while effectively nourishing their baby.  Lactation counseling can occur at any time, prenatally, postpartum, and months after birth.  Breastfeeding/chestfeeding/body feeding should NOT hurt. Please reach out at any time, especially if you have experienced challenges in the past or feel a problem arising (early is best to avoid stress).
